Strategy

Acsa Sorigué has an impressive portfolio of works undertaken on behalf of the Spanish Department of the Environment, Department of Public Works, Autonomous Communities – especially Catalonia, Andalucia and Aragon – and with local Administrations. We seek to encourage synergies in public works, looking to create cooperation between the asphalt and aggregates companies within the group and focusing a lot of our attention on road building activities. Apart from road building, our maintenance activity also deserved special attention, leading to the recent establishment of a subsidiary("Sorigué-Acsa Conservación de Infraestructuras, S.A."), dedicated to this objective.

With regard to the new systems for public-private cooperation and the growing use of these on the part of Administrations when it comes to assigning contracts for public works, at Acsa Sorigué we have recently created a Concessions Department, which boasts a team of professionals trained in this activity. This allows us to dedicate an appropriate amount of resources to this vital area.

We are currently seeking to establish agreements with companies in the rail sector, which is expected to be the scene of much important activity over the coming years.

The company’s most traditional lines of business, hydraulic works for both waste and drinking water, as well as conducts and irrigation works, are still a constant in our activities.

Our intention is to increase the number of projects we are awarded with private clients for residential housing, offices and parking complexes, as well as the number of projects we are involved in through the public sector, with buildings built through contract concessions.

With regard to industrial and urban services, specific General Management is amplifying and diversifying our client list for assembly and maintenance contract for industrial and energy related plants, while maintaining its leading position in maintenance services for drinking water distribution networks. The Axsa subsidiary "Coutex Equipos y Proyectos, S.A.", a recently created enterprise, makes the industrial line more operational.

Finally, we should also mention the continuation of our international presence through the Chilean subsidiaries of Acsa, which were recently awarded the contract for building an inter-modal station by the Chilean government.

The company’s trajectory over more than forty years and its recently joining the solid construction group Sorigué offer wonderful prospects in terms of growth and profitability.
