Acsa was founded in 1959 and for a long time its activity was mainly focused on maintaining Barcelona’s drinking water network. The company would later specialise in all kinds of works related to the water cycle and, since then, hydraulic works have been a mainstay of Acsa’s activity.
In the late nineties Acsa set itself the challenge of becoming a general construction company, one dedicated primarily to infrastructure and building works, and their related services. The result of this resolution was a threefold increase in turnover in the period 1998-2003.
In 2005 the company became a part of Grupo Sorigué, a landmark company in Spain for the manufacture and laying of asphalt mixes and the modern management of aggregates, besides having significant resources and experience at its disposal for civil works and building. The group is made up by about twenty companies working in areas related to the building sector and its related services.
Acsa In the last financial year has increased by 20% by volume of sales, reaching 434.20 million. It has offices in Madrid and Barcelona and has offices in seven other cities in the Spanish territory. The current staff is 1,467 people.
